Diwa
Diwa is an inclusive "open social band", comprising of 20+ talented musicians-at-heart from the Filipino
Students Association at the University of Auckland. Meaning "soul" in Tagalog, Diwa specifically chose this
word as their stage name because they believe that music is the soul of every Filipino. Through learning and
performing music together, Diwa hopes to enlighten their audiences with the Filipino culture, as well as
educate their own members of the true essence of being Filipino.
